Coming up to the busy festive period the last thing on most people’s minds would be to go through the upheaval of changing job, with a million and one things to do before Christmas most people could think of nothing worse than trawling through the job boards looking for a new position.
Others will believe that even if a new job is something they want that it is pointless to start the process now as “most employers will hold off to the new year”.
However, with my experience in Recruitment I strongly disagree and would like to challenge those views, I firmly believe there is no better time to click ‘SUBMIT’ and send us your CV.
A recent Survey from Fortune Magazine has reported that 69% of companies and recruiters place as many, or even more, candidates in December than in any other month of the year.

On average the standard recruitment process takes between 4 to 6 weeks from submitting the CV to accepting a position. So, if you plan to kick start 2018 by changing job then now is the time to start and send us that CV.

With most of your rivals slacking off around Christmas time and thinking about everything else apart from securing a new role there will be less candidates competing for the role you want, so boost your odds of securing that dream job by getting ahead of the pack.

Depending on the industry, some companies will feel a natural slow down on the lead up to the holidays, this will allow for greater flexibility with hiring managers schedules. Meaning more availability to schedule interviews for you. You may notice a similar slow down happen with your current employer which results in you being able to get out for an interview easier than at any other time of the year.
