Business Development Manager (FMCG – Meat)
Salary depending on relevant experience

Reactive Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join one of Northern Irelands top 100 employers, an instantly recognisable brand name

Reporting to the Lead BDM you will be responsible for the development of the brand and identifying new business opportunities.  Duties will include;

  • Work closely with the Category Manager for Chilled and Frozen Foods by contributing to the development of fresh produce in line with agreed budgetary and sales targets that are aligned with business needs and requirements
  • Achieve agreed budgets on an annual basis
  • Inform the trading team of any pricing/ market intelligence from competitors
  • Develop a journey plan with call frequency, to include cold calling
  • Generate own leads and set appointments
  • Increase sales and margin of all fresh meat customers through ‘up selling’ and ‘cross selling’ of all fresh categories

Essential criteria

  • Full driving licence
  • Experience of working in the food industry, particularly specialising in the meat category
  • Proven ability to manage a customer base and develop new business
  • Proven track record in selling large product range
