Our client is a long-standing manufacturer and construction group and due to continued growth are seeking to appoint a Purchasing Officer to join them at their south Down facility.

You will report into the Purchasing Manager and will;

  • Assess material needs and ordering from suppliers
  • Getting quotes from suppliers and assessing of such
  • Ensuring materials are purchased within budgets
  • Dealing with any quality concerns
  • Ensuring that all requisitions and the issuing of Purchase orders are completed
  • Responding to invoice issues
  • Dealing with Invoice queries
  • Dealing with credit and account applications

Seeking applicants with 3 years’ experience in a purchasing / procurement role, within the construction or similar environment, additionally you will possess;

  • Educated to GCSE level, ideally continued to 3rd level 
  • Sound level of IT literacy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confident negotiator
